    Check in is at 3pm on Friday. We begin our community / team building practices (The Creation Lab) at 4pm. Please arrive with enough time to join us!

    Uplift festivities will run until 3:30pm on Sunday.

    Check out from Menla is at 11am (or during breakfast time so you don’t miss an after-breakfast offering!).

  • We are offering a 3-tiered pricing structure.

    Tier 1 is our most discounted rates. Be sure to register early to grab those limited Tier 1 tickets before they sell out!

  • This year we have chosen not to offer a single-day pass. Uplift is designed as a full weekend journey, where each day builds upon the last. By being together from start to finish, we create a deeper sense of community & connection.

    We hope you can join us for the duration of the event!

  • Yes, all meals are included — Dinner on Friday 7/24, breakfast/lunch/dinner on Saturday 7/25, and breakfast/lunch on Sunday 7/26.

    (The food is AMAZING!)

  • Meals are INCREDIBLE! Nourishing, delicious, organic, & farm-to-table.

    Menla’s kitchen serves vegan cuisine with vegetarian options, all created with love and care. All meals are prepared vegan, but there are options on the side for those who would like to take it, such as dairy, cheese, and eggs. Much of Menla’s cuisine comes straight from their ORGANIC vegetable gardens. They strive to provide the healthiest, most delicious, seasonally-sourced whole foods from their gardens, as well as the best local vendors.

    They can handle most dietary needs (ex: vegan, gluten-free, wheat-free, nut allergies, etc) with sufficient notice.

  • Coffee and tea are available at no charge in Lhasa (main building / dining hall) from 7am-11pm daily.

    A tea station (hot water dispenser, tea bags, cups) will also be set up at our meeting spaces, along with a cold water dispenser

  • There is always fresh fruit available in the dining hall at no cost. There are also several snacks available for purchase at the front desk.

  • Menla is nestled in a wooded mountain valley and is a very different environment from urban and suburban environments, usually about 10-15 degrees cooler than NYC. Evenings can be chilly, even in warmer weather, and it gets quite dark at night, even with pathlights on. We recommend bringing the following items:

    • Warm clothing options for the evening

    • Walking shoes and / or hiking shoes with good ankle support, especially if you plan to hike 

    • Flashlight 

    • Toiletries (Menla provides face and body soap, but not shampoo or conditioner)

    • Hair Dryer (if you use one. Menla does not have hair dryers in their rooms)

    • Umbrella 

    • Raincoat

    • Insect repellent

    • Bathing suit (if you wish to use the outdoor pool)

    • Slippers or socks if you don’t like being barefooted (no shoes are allowed in the meeting spaces)

    • Sunscreen (if you plan to lounge outdoors)

    • Great vibes!

  • Only if you prefer your own. Menla has mats, blocks, bolsters, cushions, straps, and more in every meeting space. You are welcome to use these.

  • Yes! There are 3 marked & maintained trails on the property you can enjoy. Click HERE to read more about their trails.

  • Yes! The pool is located outdoors at the spa and is not heated.

    It is 20' x 40' & its depth goes from 3 - 5 feet. It will be open during Uplift & you are welcome to use it.

    Please note, there is no lifeguard on premises & there are no changing rooms or showers. Be sure to bring cover ups & shoes you can walk to & from your room in.

  • Yes! Menla has an incredible spa, called the Dewa Spa — click HERE for more info or call 845.688.6897 X 102.

    The Dewa spa also has saunas and steam rooms located inside the locker rooms.

    Anyone who has booked a spa appointment can use the sauna & steam rooms, or you can book a day pass through the spa for $25 & use those amenities, as well as the relaxation room at the spa.

  • Yes! Dewa Spa takes appointments 2 months in advance. If you are interested in booking an appointment, please don’t wait!

  • The barn is a community space open to all to use at any time. There are couches, a pool table, a piano, and more. It is a very cozy space and a great place to lounge!

  • Yes! There is a new fitness center located across from the barn.

  • Check-In is at 3pm on Friday, July 24th

    Check-Out is between 7am-11am (we suggest checking out at breakfast time) on Sunday, July 26th

  • Guests check in at the front desk in Lhasa (main building / location of the dining hall). The front desk team let you know where your room is & provide you with a paper map if you would like one. Guests will be asked for a credit card to keep on file for any incidentals. Guests can park near Lhasa when they arrive, go inside and check in, then drive over and park near their lodgings.

  • Yes, the front desk can provide a paper map for you if you like.

    They also have a trail map if you would like to hike on any of the trails (3 marked & maintained on site).

  • Yes! We are offering a commuter rate to guests who would like to attend Uplift, but do not need on site accommodations.

    This rate includes all meals. 

  • Yes! We have a camping option, which includes all meals.

    Menla has 8 camping platforms & additional space on the land in the grassy meadows overlooking the Pantherkill Stream to camp.

    Guests must bring their own camping supplies. Menla does not provide any camping equipment or supplies.

  • Yes, there are indoor bathrooms & showers campers can use.

  • Yes, if you have a specific roommate request, you & your roommate need to book the same room type and then request each other as a roommate. You can always call the front desk at Menla for assistance if you need - 845.688.6897 X101

  • Menla offers free parking on its grounds. You can park by the main building (Lhasa) to register, then move your car over near your housing if needed.

  • Menla has accessible housing in Lhasa Inn and Kathmandu. If you have mobility needs please reach out to us (or Menla) directly so we can ensure we are able to accommodate you.

    Many buildings have stairs or are located on higher elevations on property. Guests are able to drive to these places but this does not guarantee accessibility.

    To ensure comfort, please communicate your needs ahead of time so we can create an inclusive and comfortable experience. 

  • Albany airport is closest.

    LaGuardia (LGA) & JFK airports in the New York City area, as well as Newark in New Jersey, are reasonably close.

    For Albany & Newark, you will need to arrange an Uber or taxi service. There are no public transportation options.

    From LGA & JFK you can take public transportation. Once you land, navigate to Port Authority Bus Terminal (you can do that via public transportation from the airport or by taking an Uber/taxi). From there, take the Trailways Bus to Phoenicia. You can arrange a shuttle through Menla for $5 to pick you up from the bus stop (you can arrange that at the time of booking or by calling / emailing the front desk)

    If you are taking a bus from NYC, you can plan your trip via Trailways Bus by visiting www.trailwaysny.com

  • Yes, you can take the Trailways Bus from Port Authority to Phoenicia. You can arrange a shuttle pick up through Menla for $5 each way. You can plan your trip via Trailways by visiting www.trailwaysny.com

    You can also take Amtrak to Rhinecliff or Metro North to Poughkeepsie, but both of those stations are nearly an hour away. Menla does not offer a shuttle pick up from either of these stations, but you can book an Uber / taxi to Menla if you arrive this way.

  • Menla can offer a shuttle to and from the Phoenicia bus stop for $5/each way. You can book this directly through Menla when you are registering for Uplift or by calling / emailing the front desk (845.688.6897 X101 or frontdesk@menla.org)

    Menla does not offer any other shuttle services at this time.

  • There is no on-site shuttle service at Menla. Guests can either walk or drive from location to location. It’s about a 10-minute walk across the property.

  • Guests can either walk between buildings or drive. There is an upper and lower road that takes you around the property. 

  • Yes! Thank you for asking. Uplift is a fully sober, substance-free gathering— a space where we connect deeply, stay present, and experience the magic of the weekend with clear minds and open hearts. We ask all participants to honor this by refraining from alcohol, recreational drugs, and other intoxicants for the duration of the event, so that we can co-create a safe, grounded, and uplifting environment for all.

  • Menla does not serve alcohol. They are not a “dry property” though, meaning alcohol is not illegal on site. However, Uplift is a sober event, so we do ask that you please refrain from drinking or using substances while attending Uplift. Thank you so much!

  • All smoking & vaping has to be done 100 feet or more away from buildings.

    No smoking or vaping is allowed in or around any of our buildings.

    Please be sure to dispose of all filters and debris in the trash receptacles. 

  • Menla has no cell phone service but they do have a very strong, well-distributed wifi network. There is no password, it is an open network you can join when you arrive.

  • Menla does not have silent hours, but they do have quiet hours that begin each evening at 10pm. We ask if you are still awake and moving about the property that you do so respectfully and with awareness that many guests may be resting or asleep.

  • Yes! If it rains all programming will be held indoors. If it’s sunny & beautiful (as we hope!) we will have options for outdoor games, dancing, drumming, bonfires, & more!
